Welcome to GOFISH

A Trowbridge based organisation helping young people prepare to enter the world of work, start their own businesses and become successful entrepreneurs.

Our Programmes

We offer two main programmes for people under the age of 30:
'The World of Work' and 'Wannabe a Entrepreneur'.

Dragons Dungeon

Our annual business competition where local business mentors will test the contestant's project or business idea for a chance to win a cash prize.

Young Talent Market

We organise annual markets for Young Entrepreneurs. This is the perfect place for Young Entrepreneurs to show off their products to the public for free in Trowbridge.

Your Feedback Matters

"GOFISH definitely improved my employability skills. Since finishing college I gained a job at apetito, starting as a Site Event Host and working my way up to Customer Services Advisor!"

Sophie Cleverley Customer Service Advisor for apetito

"It has always been quite difficult to get my daughter to show enthusiasm for anything, but I think GOFISH has really opened her eyes to possible opportunities for the business she would like to create. I've never seen her so excited about anything!"

Abigail Needs Parent

“Wiltshire College is delighted to have been a part of the GOFISH initiative and we can see its very positive impact on our students in terms of employability and entrepreneurial skills. The skill set they have gained through the project will stand them in good stead for their future careers.”

Amanda Burnside Principal of Wiltshire College

“This is another excellent example of Trowbridge people pulling together and achieving outstanding results. These young people are our future and deserve to be recognised for their talent and hard work. My thanks go to the GOFISH team and everyone concerned who contribute to Trowbridge being a great place to live.”

Deborah Halik Trowbridge Mayor

“Thank you so much for such a brilliant evening, it feels amazing to have been chosen as this year's winner and it will certainly help boost the profile of my business. Through this competition I have gained confidence in speaking about my business and it has pushed me to consider ways of expanding which were not possible before without the prize money.”

Nicola Davis Winner of the Gripit Young Entrepeneur of the Year Award 2017

“GOFISH has provided a unique opportunity for the business studies students at Wiltshire College. They were given the opportunity to work with local employers and learn some essential skills. It has been an excellent collaboration which the college and the students are extremely proud of and grateful for. The Celebration Evening was a great success and the students were proud of their achievements and awards”

Pippa Thomas Business Studies Lecturer, Wiltshire College

“Can I congratulate GOFISH on the excellent Dragon's Dungeon event that took place last Thursday evening at the Trowbridge Town Hall; the use of actual dungeons for the pitching of products to the judges provided an atmospheric environment that was stimulating for the contestants. <br />Well done to the GOFISH team for the effort put in and for their encouragement to all young entrepreneurs, these people take the time and trouble to turn ideas and dreams into reality, offering real support through events such as these and the young market held last October, bringing young business people to the attention of established business men and women all of who encourage by example.”
